Sunday September 17 – teams arrive in
Buenos Aires and will be met and transferred to their selected accommodation.
Later in the day the Opening Ceremony will be held at a special Argentine themed
venue in Buenos Aires followed by the parade of teams to the Welcome Party
which will feature traditional Argentine music and entertainment, a substantial
finger food buffet, three hours of unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks - all in
the company of good rugby friends. Transfers will be provided to and from these
functions.Monday September 18 –
teams will be transferred to the host clubs for the first round of games.
Refreshments (including an ‘asado’ -Argentine BBQ) will be available throughout
the day and special areas will be setup for post match hospitality. The evening
is free to sample local cafes and restaurants or for those wishing to, an
optional Tango Show with dinner and transfers can be arranged.
Tuesday September 19
- today is a
complete day at leisure to explore the many interesting sights and experiences
that Buenos Aires has to offer. The evening is free to explore Buenos Aires
nightlife or an optional Tango Show!
Wednesday September 20 – the second
round of games. The evening is free to explore Buenos Aires night life.
Thursday September 21 – another free
day to explore Buenos Aires or start ticking off that shopping list. The evening
is free to explore Buenos Aires cafes and pubs.
Friday September 22 –
The final round of games. Early evening buses will
transfer teams to the Grand Finale Dine and Dance function.
It will be a fantastic night featuring awards, non-stop entertainment, great
music, a table-served 3-course meal and continuous beer, wine and soft drinks.
Saturday September 23 – its time to
say farewell to Buenos Aires and all your friends – until the 2008 World Vintage
Rugby Carnival. Buses will transfer all groups to their point of departure for
onward travel.
A programme of special activities is being planned for partners who might not
want to go to all the games – shopping excursions, organised walks and visits to
interesting places in Buenos Aires will be included and details will be sent to
teams.

Carnival package prices include:
- Six nights accommodation in the category of your choice on a twin,
double, triple or quadruple share basis.
- Full cooked breakfast every morning.
- Meet and greet on arrival in Buenos Aires with English speaking
coordinators that will provide welcome and assistance at the airport.
- A welcome kit in each room with a Carnival Guide, city maps, discount
shopping vouchers and travel guide.
- Transfers on arrival and departure from Buenos Aires, to and from both
social functions, the Team Manager’s meeting and the playing venue on the 3
playing days.

Carnival package prices do not include meals and drinks (other than

taxes that may be effective at the time of the Carnival.

South Tower is

The Carnival ground operator has
identified apartments at Lois Suites Esmerelda Apartment/Hotel. These
apartments have not been secured but will be available should any team
stipulate apartment styled accommodation for the Carnival week. To
secure Apartments the hotel will require each team to provide a 30%
deposit within 30 days of reservation confirmation. No deposit no
apartment.The apartments are highly sought after, as they offer
flexibility, the price is right and breakfast is included in the hotel
dining room.The Vintage Rugby office must
stress that teams considering these apartments keep in mind that they
are quite small. |

- A private en-suite bathroom

Maximum of 3 persons per apartment.

A Two Bedroom Apartment has:
- One double standard size bed (160cm x 190cm) in one

Travel....
Teams are encouraged to make travel arrangements as soon as conveniently
possible. There is no requirement to use particular airlines but the Vintage
Rugby Office will be suggesting ‘preferred’ Carnival airlines to teams as
entries are received. The Carnival obviously provides the ideal opportunity to
use all those valuable air points that team members may have accrued.
All prices in US dollars....
The package prices are all quoted in US dollars. For an indication of the costs
in other currencies use the
currency converter . The
cost provided by the converter will only be indicative as the actual cost will
be determined by the exchange rates at the time team payments are processed into
US dollars.
Accommodation requests....
The organizers will endeavour to meet specific requests for accommodation
depending on the availability of rooms at the time of the request. All
accommodation will be allocated on a first come first served basis and only
confirmed when the required deposits have been received. |
