Argentina Secretary of Tourism
Welcomes Vintage Rugby Teams'.
Mr. Meyer addresses the World Vintage Rugby Carnival, 2006
“On behalf of the entire nation of Argentina, it is a very great honour for
us to host the next World Vintage Rugby Carnival in September, 2006, in our
capital city of Buenos Aires
We are confident that all participants will profit from a wonderful stay in
our country, where the possibilities are infinite, both for sports and
tourism.
From its breathtaking natural wonders to its welcoming cities, Argentina
will continually surprise you at all times.
You will be captivated in cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, where its vibrant &
different neighborhoods defined by varied immigrant traditions, its cultural
life and its passion for tango are constant attractions. You will visit
estancias (ranches) in the Province of Buenos Aires where you will be able
to enjoy a typical barbecue, our “asado”.
Most importantly, beyond Argentina’s beautiful landscapes and traditions,
you will feel the warmth & all embracing hospitality of our people, who will
make you feel right at home.
Argentina has a love for sports, and rugby has been played for a long time
with an increasing popularity. By hosting the World Vintage Rugby Carnival
2006, Argentina hopes to transmit the importance of both tourism and sports
inter-twined as an opportunity & a platform for promoting our country.
We look very much forward to welcoming you as our guests here in Argentina
next year.
Kind regards,
Mr. Carlos Enrique Meyer
Secretary of Tourism
