2006 World Vintage Rugby Carnival -
September 17-23, 2006.

Newsletter 2006 Carnival, #3

Welcome to Newsletter No 3.... and more news and updates about the 2006 World Vintage Rugby Carnival in Buenos Aires.

Interest in the 2006 Carnival continues to be high and this is reflected in the number of confirmed entries received over the past 2 months. In this edition you will read about those entries, the first of our regional highlights, the impressive range of Carnival tours and excursions available and the announcement of important commercial partnerships in Argentina. Read on, and welcome to Newsletter No 3 for 2005 …
 ENTRIES UPDATE AND COMMENT....
Entries have now been confirmed from 18 teams originating from 9 countries - Tanzania, Canada, England, Australia(4), New Zealand, South Africa(3), USA(4), Thailand and Ireland(2).
These teams currently have combined touring parties of nearly 650 players and partners so the Carnival is shaping up to be something really special.

Latest entries came from The Tanzanian Tuskers, Harrow RFC, The Kiwi Leprechauns and The Texas XXXX's.

The official Carnival brochure is available on request to the Vintage Rugby Office here>>>  or you can  Download our Brochure in PDF form right here.

We have received a number of expressions of concern from people pointing out a conflict in timing between Vintage Sports events and those of other operators.
It is our policy wherever possible to give our participants every opportunity to enjoy all the offerings in this area of the sports and leisure market, and not detract from events already scheduled.
That is why, in July last year when we scheduled our second Vintage Rugby Festival for Buenos Aires in September, 2006, we chose a time and venue which were both absolutely clear on the calendar. Any subsequent conflict is certainly not of our choosing.
Be assured, we will continue to organise our events for you on this basis, but regretfully there is nothing we can do about other organisations subsequently scheduling across our dates.
We can only reiterate our ongoing commitment to bringing you the very best of Vintage Sports Carnivals, to reflect the rapidly increasing number of participants who are now enthusiastically supporting the Vintage philosophy and style of event.

It’s always nice to read what others have to say after visits to exciting places and that is why a visit to the BootsnAll website is worthwhile. The French language Buenos Aires Carnival Website is now on-line, and will be followed early next month with the Spanish website!

VINTAGE RUGBY LAWS....
After consulting the Vintage Rugby Advisory Board (made up of Vintage rugby players throughout the world) Vintage Rugby Management have made subtle changes to the laws of playing Vintage Rugby.

For these laws to work it is critical that team leaders make sure they register their teams for the level of competitiveness they wish to play. It is also important for the Captains and Referees to meet prior to each game to agree on the laws the game will be played to.
