World Vintage Rugby Carnivals are friendly, exciting and full of
fun. Carnivals are played every two years at venues selected by
Vintage Rugby players and their partners. Games are played under
special rules adapted for mature players (over 35 years of age)
ensuring shared enjoyment of the great game.
The inaugural World Vintage Rugby Carnival was staged in Limerick,
the Rugby capital of Ireland during September 2004. For details
about the Limerick Carnival including photos

The second World Vintage Rugby Carnival will be staged in Buenos
Aires, Argentina - home of the Pumas, the incomparable Hugo Porta
and fanatical supporters of the great game of rugby.
What can teams expect to experience at a Vintage Rugby Carnival ?
Don’t expect to see the skills of a World Cup, or even the
nationalistic pride of an international. Don’t even anticipate
witnessing the physical enthusiasm of a top club match or the
handing over of an impressive trophy. But do expect to hear
limitless laughter, and see fun in full measure as veteran rugby
players from around the world gather in Buenos Aires - Argentina’s
staunchest Rugby stronghold for the second World Vintage Rugby
Carnival.
With 80 teams from over 20 countries expected to be at the Carnival,
the international language of Rugby will resonate around the playing
fields and in the pubs and cafes of Buenos Aires. There will be lots
of fun for the players whose only requirement is to be aged over 35,
and have a love of rugby.
Be part of the next World Vintage Rugby Carnival to be staged in
Buenos Aires from September 17 – 23, 2006. Play Rugby in Argentina
and enjoy the unique opportunity to explore and enjoy this wonderful
country.
